The Slant Pro has been a great addition to my shop. Especially with the automatic collet closer. I can load bars up to 1” dia and 24” long and let the machine run. I am working on a spindle liner that would allow 3-4 foot bars.
I’m trying to setup the turret so that I can handle most straight forward 2 axis lathe jobs without changing tooling. 1) Iscar WNMG roughing. 2)VNMG finishing. 3) Iscar MFT drill, bore, face, id and od thread. 4)Dorian dup35ug full radius profile tool. 5) EZ-puller. 6)Iscar partial profile threading. 7)boring bar. 8)Iscar TangFgrip groove/part tool.
Drills, taps, reamers etc go in tooling blocks on the gang tool adapter.
Currently I have a Dorian pinch style knurling tool that uses the QCTP block. Can’t really use gang and knurl on the QCTP at the same time though.
